TL;DR: Once a sync is running, you can manage it from the My Syncs tab in the admin panel. Edit your settings, pause syncing temporarily, or delete a sync entirely — all without losing the items already on your board.

Before you start
You need at least one active sync — see Setting up a Sync if you haven't set one up yet
All sync management happens from the My Syncs tab in the admin panel
The My Syncs dashboard
The My Syncs tab shows a table of all your active sync configurations. Each row displays:
Owner — who created the sync
Status — Active or Paused
Direction — One-way or Two-Way Sync
Monday Board — which board and whether it syncs items or subitems
Outlook Calendar — which calendar account and calendar name
Created — when the sync was set up
Actions — Edit, Pause, or Delete
You can also click Create New Sync to add another sync configuration.
Edit a sync
Click the pencil icon to reopen the sync wizard and change your configuration. You can update:
Which calendar to sync with
Sync direction (one-way or two-way)
Items vs. subitems
Field mapping
Conditional triggering filters (incoming and outgoing)
Changes take effect immediately after saving. Existing items on your board are not affected — only new changes will follow the updated settings.
Pause and resume
Click the pause icon to temporarily stop a sync. While paused:
No new events or items are created on either side
No changes are synced between Outlook and monday
Your configuration and field mapping are preserved
Items already on your board stay exactly as they are
To resume, click the pause icon again. The sync picks up from where it left off — but changes that happened while paused are not retroactively synced.
Delete a sync
Click the trash icon to permanently remove a sync configuration. When you delete a sync:
The sync stops immediately
Items already on your board stay — nothing is deleted
The link between items and calendar events is broken
Future changes on either side will no longer sync
Deleting a sync cannot be undone. To sync the same calendar and board again, you'll need to set up a new sync from scratch.
Common gotchas
You can have multiple active syncs — each connects one calendar to one board
Pausing is reversible, deleting is not — when in doubt, pause first
Editing a sync doesn't re-trigger past changes — only new changes follow the updated settings
The Create New Sync button lets you add more syncs without affecting existing ones
Changes that happen while a sync is paused are not retroactively synced when you resume
