Updates & Communication Sync

These automations make sure that communication and key mirrored data stay consistent across all connected items. They automatically copy updates, mirror column changes, and mirrored statuses so that every connected item stays up to date with what’s happening elsewhere.

When an update is created on item/subitem, copy the update to all connected items
Automatically copies any new update or comment added on one item to all its connected items, keeping discussions and context aligned across boards.

When mirror column changes, copy that value to the column in this board where column name and type match
Keeps your board up to date by copying the latest value from a mirrored column into a regular column on this board whenever the mirrored data changes. The target column must have the same name and column type as the original column on the other board that your mirror is linked to.

Setting up automation #8:


    Click on one of the recipes to open the setup screen.
    Fill out the recipe fields:

Fields:
  • item/subitem - Choose if to sync item or subitems updates.
  • connencted - Choose the connect column from the board you are setting the automation on or create one. The items/subitems in this column will get the updates of the connected items from this board.

    Click "Create Automation"

  • Mirror column - Choose the mirror column on this board that you want to monitor. Whenever the value in that mirrored column changes (based on the source board it’s mirroring), this automation will trigger and copy the updated value into a matching column on this board.
