Names & Text Columns Sync

These automations copy item names into text fields or update names across connected items, making it easy to track linked records.

When item name changes change the name of all other items connected to it connect column
Keep names consistent by updating all connected items when the item on the board you are setting the automation on is changed.

When status changes to something, copy the name/s of the connected items in the connected column to this text column

Setting up automation #17:


    Click on one of the recipes to open the setup screen.
    Fill out the recipe fields:
Fields:
  • Connected column - Choose the connect column from the board you are setting the automation on or create one. The items in this column will be synced with the new name.
    Click "Create Automation"

Setting up automation #20:


    Click on one of the recipes to open the setup screen.
    Fill out the recipe fields:
Fields:
  • Status - Choose the status column from the board you are setting the automation that in it's change will trigger the automation
  • Something - Choose the value of the status column from the board you are setting the automation that when chosen trigger the automation
  • Connected column- Choose the connect column from the board you are setting the automation on or create one. The items in this column will get the name of the item to a text column.
  • Text column - Choose the text column in the board of the connected items you want to copy the item name from the board you are setting the automation on to.

    Click "Create Automation"

  • Connected board column- Choose the connect column from the board you are setting the automation on or create one. When this column changed (items added or removed), the names of the items in the column after the change will be copied to a text column.
  • text column - Choose thetext column in the board you are setting the automation on that will get the copied name values of the connected items
    Click "Create Automation"
