Date & Timeline Automations

Automatically manage subitem dates based on parent item dates or vice versa, set default dates when tasks are created, or track project timelines across all tasks.

When to Use These Automations

  • Project deadlines shift and you need all task dates to update automatically
  • New tasks should have smart default dates (+3 days, +1 week from project start)
  • You want to see the overall project timeline (earliest start, latest end) from all tasks
  • Task due dates should change based on status (In Progress → Due in 5 days)
  • You need recurring tasks created on schedules
