TL;DR: When an update (comment) is posted on an item or subitem here, this recipe copies it to all connected items on other boards. Use it to keep conversations following the work instead of getting stranded on one board. Rank 17 most-used recipe in the last 90 days.

What this does
Recipe:"When an update is created on item/subitem, copy the update to all connected items."
Watches for new updates posted on items or subitems on this board. When an update is created, the recipe copies it to all connected items on other boards (any item linked via a connect column on this board).
One-way only: updates posted on connected items don't flow back to this board. The update text and attachments are copied; replies and reactions are not synced.
When to use it
Support ↔ Engineering: comments on the support ticket follow the issue to the engineering board
CRM ↔ Project: client conversation history appears alongside the project record
Master ↔ Regional: announcements posted on the master record appear on every regional sub-record
Decide whether the trigger is item-level or subitem-level updates (the recipe handles both — pick the entity at setup)

Common gotchas
One-way only. Replies posted on the connected item don't flow back. If you need bidirectional conversation sync, set up the recipe on both boards pointing at each other.
Each update consumes 1 action per connected item. If your item links to 10 connected items, posting one update consumes 10 actions from your quota. Plan accordingly.
The connect column must already exist and be populated. Items with empty connect columns won't trigger the copy.
Subitem-level updates fire broadly. Subitem webhooks are not column-specific in monday.com — the recipe runs on any subitem update, not just specific ones.
